In the project I learned about the commercial aspects of the Fashion world. The top goal was understanding the procedures which are part of building a collection, while considering few essential factors: seasons, the target clients, planned arrival to stores, the inspiration and the brand’s agenda.

I designed with correlation to the Casto’s method, which I have studied thoroughly with the great guidance and support of the senior designer of Castro Kids.

 

The Brand’s agenda guided me in choosing my target clients, and the number of items that will go out to the market at different times of the year.

 

The top subject I chose for the season was the four Elements. According to these elements I designed 4 different groups, that together make a complete collection: Earth, fire, water and air.
I found it important to choose a subject that will excite and inspire the children and their parents, since both of them are Castro’s potential customers.
